Guitar Open Chords

Open chords have at least one guitar string played open or unfretted. These guitar chords are usually played near the headstock end of the fretboard, also known as the open position.

Playing open chords allows you to play a variety of different chords without having to worry about moving your fret hand all over the neck of the guitar. Practice moving your fingers into other open chords to make playing them more fluid with even strumming patterns.
